This Plassey Street renovation was a bold reimagining of a compact family home, carefully extended and upgraded to support modern family living. The project included a small extension to add two new bedrooms and a family bathroom, along with a new ensuite, laundry, and an expanded kitchen and dining area that opens onto a generous rear deck.
One of the main challenges in this renovation was achieving a cohesive flow between the existing home and the new extension. The project involved significant reconfiguration—adding bedrooms, bathrooms, and open-plan living spaces—so it was crucial that the new areas felt integrated both in structure and finish.
Another critical factor was timing. The clients had moved out for the duration of the renovation, so sticking to the construction programme was essential. With a full internal overhaul and a tight sequence of trades, delivering the home on time demanded strong coordination, reliable systems, and a clear plan from day one.
